Ambience and Amenities
Motherhood Disclaimer
I work out of my house and I am a stay at home mother of five children. So a disclaimer up front if your session is not during a naptime: my "mommy senses" may tingle (a la Spiderman skills) and I may need to attend to my minions for short moments. These are usually few and far between instances as I try to have them distracted during sessions. Fortunately my children are generally well-behaved and don't impede upon the general relaxing ambience that I curate within the studio space.
Ambience
My studio is a multi-use space, but if you "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain" (i.e. don't look under the table or behind the screen) then you won't even know about the craft and office functions of the room.
As my main mantra during sessions is "Just Keep Breathing" I love that I can use the Scentsy wax warmer with the scent of "Just Breathe" as my default aromatherapy. Other essential oils can be used instead by request.
For background music I have Spotify playlists that I can stream in. Calming Sleep Music is a standard spa list. Relaxing Movie Covers has been a favorite for my own children's naptimes. Car Sleeping is a list I have curated myself that includes a little bit of everything while being completely instrumental.
Amenities
Recharge your device while we recharge your body! Bring your own USB cable and plug in to my new lamp with charging ports.
When the muscle work gets intense I like to close with doTERRA's Deep Blue lotion. Now you can take home sample packs of it for $2 each.
Also newly available are mini essential oil bottles for $5 each with refills of $2. The oils currently decanted are Lavender, Peppermint, and doTERRA's OnGuard blend.
*I'm not a doTERRA wholesaler. I just like the products. If I start to sell them in a more official capacity I will announce the fact.
Target Audience
As mentioned above, I am a mother. With my added training in Pregnancy, Postpartum, Infant, and Pediatric massage I can confidently say that mothers are my target audience.
To facilitate more mothers coming in for sessions, I am happy to open my home up to their children as well. During school times I have a four and a two year old that would be happy playmates. Babies can be occupied on the extra floorspace within the studio itself. (I've had my own babies join sessions before.) Newborns can even be held if a postpartum session is using my new Orthopedic Pillow set that allows for a more upright position on the massage table.
I also enjoy hosting massage related Girls' Nights or Mommy Mornings.
