Life Phase Options
Life Phase Options Available
Infant Massage:
There are many benefits of infant massage. The techniques that I think are beneficial for parents to learn are colic and constipation treatments in addition to general relaxation and bonding time.
Pediatric Massage:
Although children are not mini-adults and the massage flow is adapted accordingly, the stresses of modern life are seen in smaller bodies just as with adults. Massage also has several psychological benefits for a child's development including better body awareness and a more positive body image in addition to stress and anxiety management.
(Note: for younger children, shorter sessions are recommended.)
Pregnancy and Post-Natal Massage:
I know from experience that pregnancy is an uncomfortable endeavor but there are many massage applications that can help provide more ease during this phase of life. Low back pain, edema/swelling, ligament spasms, you name it, I have a release technique for it. Spouses are welcome to come and observe so they can provide relief at home in-between sessions. The postpartum body has many issues carried over from the pregnancy and there is a host of added modalities available to help heal the mother after the birthing process whether vaginal or via a Caesarean section.
All of the above don't affect the pricing of the timed session. These are simply populations that require the extra training that I have received. For the Infant and Pediatric Massage a parent is encouraged to sit in on the session and is welcome to get hands-on instruction in performing the techniques beneficial for their child.
